Mrs. Carey's 1st Grade Pirates: Perrydale, Oregon; I do think it is going to finally happen. Spring is in the air and the windows of our class are flying open waiting for a breeze to gently cool the damp faces of our first grade class. What a welcomed feeling! SNACK TIME

Many children have better learning concentration when they eat a snack mid morning. My own children do well to eat every couple of hours. Please send a snack to school with your child that is healthy rather than a sugary sweet that will keep them sustained for only minutes. Examples include a banana, apple slices, carrot slices, cheese and crackers, pretzel sticks, 1/2 a peanut butter sandwich. Thank you and your child thanks you!
